Happy Birthday Buck...

Happy Birthday, babe. I love you. I am so thankful you are in my life.

We are in the middle of a series at church called The Marriage Project. I have been so encouraged throughout the series mostly because I know God has a desire for our marriage to be great. He designed it. He has a purpose for it. He wants marriage to be a picture of his love for the church. I truly believe this is the only opportunity on earth we will have to see this love played out. That is why a healthy marriage is so essential. I have also realized how blessed I am. My husband believes the best about me. I have not realized until lately how rare this is & how thankful I am for it. He believes God has a purpose for everything we are going through. He is not perfect, but he lives each day to make the most of Jesus in our family. I am not worried about the example our children will have of a husband or a father. He is so intentional about loving and serving us.

So, thanks babe for leading our family, for working hard every day for us. I love you.

Little Things are Big Things...

Well, today Peyton did something fun...she moved her keys from one hand to the other. I missed it at first, but then I watched and saw her move them back. I love the little ways she shows she is learning & growing. I am having such a fun time being her mom. I love taking walks with her. I love going swimming with her. I love cuddling with her when she isn't quite ready to wake up. I love listening to her when she is slowly fading to sleep. I love watching her laugh with her dad. I love the way she watches people. I love when she crosses her eyes because she is concentrating so hard. I love the way she grabs your finger & attacks it with her mouth. I love that Jesus gave her to our family. We pray every day that she will know His love by the way we love each other and the way we love her.

Olympics....

Okay, so everyone else is blogging about the Olympics so I guess I should too. We haven't been watching b/c we don't get anything but CBS on tv & our mac does not have windows on it so our browser does not support the video. BUT, I am currently borrowing a PC from my brother. It is great. Peyton and I basically watched the entire Olympics in one day today...not a bad day since I wasn't feeling too hot. We watched swimming (she liked that...I think since she likes to swim), field hockey, live basketball, archery, kayaking, rowing, baseball, softball, fencing, and a bit of volleyball and water polo. I loved it. I know I am a nerd. Buck has already reminded me that the Olympics are marketed towards people like me...people who want to go buy Coca-Cola just to get the commemorative cans. I also like to keep up with all of the Auburn alum/students/future students who are excelling in the games...it gives me someone else to cheer for...the Womens 100m Backstroke for instance was a sweep: GOLD-Natalie Coughlin, USA; SILVER-Kirsty Conventry, Zimbabwe & Auburn; BRONZE-Margaret Hoelzer, USA & AUBURN...WAR EAGLE! Anyway, we relaxed and watched the Olympics...it was fun!

The Marriage Project...Check it Out...

Still Growing...

Well, Peyton has had her Four-Month Check-up. She did great for most of the visit...even though it went a little long and in to her naptime. So, she is 16lbs. 2oz. now and is 26 inches long! GROWING! I am glad she is healthy. She is going back in a few weeks to check on some fluid in her ears, but other than that everything looks good. And, the doc said we can wait until at least six months to start any food or cereal, since she is still doing fine with breastfeeding alone. YAY! Anyway, that is a quick update of our growing girl.
